The pine tree on the corner of Clark St and Cooley has been a land mark for three generations. It was sad to chop it down, but it had to be done. The power company had shaved the whole west side and it was slowly dying after years of being called the bird tree by the grandchildren. We will miss the bird population that lived in the old tree, you could hear them singing from several blocks away.
